(A coworker gave this to me & I thought it was silly...)
A computer was something on TV
From a science fiction show of note
A window was something you hated to clean
And ram was the cousin of goat
Meg was the name of a girl
And gig was a job for the nights
Now they all mean different things
And that really mega "bytes"
An application was for employment
A program was a TV show
A cursor used profanity
A keyboard was a piano
Memory was something you lost with age
A CD was a bank account
And if you had a 3-inch floppy
You hoped nobody found out
Compress was something you did to garbage
Not something you did to a file
And if you unzipped anything in public
You'd be in jail for a while
Log on was adding wood to the fire
Hard drive was a long trip on the road
A mouse pad was where a mouse lived
And a backup happened in your commode
Cut you did with a pocket knife
Paste you did with glue
A web was a spider's home
And a virus was the flu
I guess I'll stick to my pen & paper
And the memory in my head
I hear nobody's been killed in a computer crash
But when it happens they wish they were dead!

My favorite part of the day!
It's been a hectic few weeks. I have been working way too much...
But the best part of the day is ALWAYS being home with my boys!
Their laughter, smiles, hugs and kisses are contagious. I thank God constantly for the precious gifts I have -
John is an amazing man! After five years of marriage I still am amazed by him. He's so giving and forgiving and patient and kind. He is true to his vows every day. He loves me for better & worse. I keep thinking how lucky I am to have him as my life partner, but I know it isn't luck! God drew me to this man. God made it clear that John was best for me. What a precious gift!
Ethan is an amazing little man! He is such a grown up. I cannot believe that he will turn three in March. It's such a cliche, but it's true - THEY GROW UP WAY TOO FAST! He is so affectionate and loving. He is protective of his brother. He loves to figure out how things work (a gift he DID NOT get from me) and he loves to imitate his Daddy. He is an excellent helper. And he says the cutest things. He is very artistically inclined - his favorite things to do are paint, read or play his instruements. His aim is always to please Mom & Dad. It's incredible to realize that Ethan is a gift entrusted to me to love and grow.
Nolan is also, way too quickly, becoming an amazing little man! He's easy going and playful. But if he has his mind set on something he will expend all his energy to get what he wants. He's great at sharing (if you ask nicely first)! He thinks he is just as big as Ethan & he is truly fearless. He is outgoing & talkative (it's like we have a parrot in the house)! I know he knows so much...He's started singing his ABC's and Ring Around the Rosey. He tells me what he sees in books. The blessings he brings me are limitless!
I am so excited to watch as they continue to become amazing men. And with such a great example to guide them I have no doubt they will always amaze me!
Yep, being at home with my men is by far my favorite part of the day!

Super Bowl?
Well, I am not the biggest fan of pro football. But you just have to celebrate the Super Bowl - it's tradition. But this year I thought it was pretty lame. There were a few good plays...but half time was BORING & the commercials just so-so. Thankfully John cooked up some great food to graze on throughout the game. Thank you, John, for being the super part of my day yet again! But a Super Bowl - I beg to differ.

Forgetful me

Darina, my sister-in-law, is one of my favorite people in this world! I love her tons...and guess what I did? I forgot to call her on her birthday & sing to her! I talked about it, but didn't do it! I am a loser.
So, in honor of Darina's 27th birthday...let's all sing!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Darina!
Happy Birthday to you!
I love you, girl!!
